The University of Alabama in Huntsville offers doctoral programs that cross college boundaries and involve faculty from across campus. There are currently three such programs: Biotechnology Science & Engineering, Materials Science, and Optical Science & Engineering. Students in these programs are eligible for graduate assistantships through a “home department.”
