UAH believes that, in today's world, the long-term success of most American businesses lies in an essential understanding of the role that technology and innovation play in a company's success. That's why the heart of the Master of Science in Management (MSM) program is in the Management of Technology (MOT). MOT links management and the business disciplines with the engineering and science disciplines to help organizations meet the challenges of fast-changing technologies – technologies and innovations that impact both service and manufacturing organizations. Service firms are using technology more and more each day to deliver services faster, better and more cheaply while manufacturing firms rely on technology to develop new and better products, from missile guidance systems to new chemicals and drugs.

The MOT degree prepares individuals with backgrounds in all disciplines – business, science, engineering, liberal arts, healthcare – to become mid-level to upper-level managers that participate in the business decisions that shape their organization's future.
