Begun in January 1998, the Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program is designed to give students the background necessary to enter a professional accountancy career in public, private or government accounting. The program focuses on understanding business processes and has a technological orientation, combining graduate education in both accounting and information systems. These reflect the academic environment of the College and the Department of Accounting and Information Systems, where the faculty are well versed in issues relating to the practice of accounting and information technology.

The Program allows elective courses to permit the MAcc students to tailor Programs of Study that fulfill diverse career objectives. Many students choose courses that qualify them to sit for the CPA examination or one of the other professional accounting examinations (e.g., CMA, CIA, CFM, etc.). Other students elect the Information Systems and Audit Control (ISAC) track which, when combined with an undergraduate degree in accounting, prepares them to sit for the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) examination and for a career in systems audit and control. Still others choose courses that prepare them for careers in the private or governmental sector.

Regardless of the track you choose, our MAcc Program will provide the background to enable you to succeed in tomorrow’s complex business environment.

To be admitted unconditionally, applicants must:
